It depends on your water source and its TDS. As a general rule, RO (usually with UV) suits borewell, tanker or high-TDS water. UV or UF suits cleaner, low-TDS municipal supply. If you are unsure, use the TDS advisor above or chat with Aqua and we will guide you.
Most purifiers need servicing roughly every 3 to 6 months, depending on your water quality and daily usage. Hard or dirty water clogs filters sooner. Always follow your manufacturer's schedule for your model.
Common causes include a clogged sediment or carbon filter, a choked RO membrane, low inlet pressure, or a pump or valve fault. A technician check pinpoints it quickly, so raise a service request and we will call you back.
RO membranes commonly last one to three years depending on TDS and usage, and UV lamps are usually replaced about once a year. Bad taste, slow flow or rising TDS in purified water are warning signs. Check your model's guidance.
Very low TDS water has fewer dissolved minerals, and many people find the taste flat. A TDS controller or mineraliser in the purifier helps keep a healthier balance. Ask us if you want help choosing.
